Responsibility
- Perform day-to-day data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are verified and processed promptly.
- Support the month-end closing process, including bank reconciliations and expense reporting.
- Maintain and organize filing systems for all financial documents and project invoices.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors regarding payment status and billing discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of GST/SST filings and other statutory compliance documents.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager for ad-hoc financial reporting and auditing requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; LCCI or equivalent professional qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounts-related role, preferably within the construction or property development industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data with high accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently as well as contribute effectively within a team environment.
