Responsibility
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage and develop a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
