Responsibility
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits, liaising with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with external audits and tax compliance is a plus.
