Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial performance.
- Train, mentor, and supervise accounting staff to foster a high-performing team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in the energy, fuel, or retail industry is advantageous.
- High ethical standards and attention to detail.
