Responsibility
- Conduct financial statement audits in compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS).
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including risk assessment and internal control evaluations.
- Prepare and review audit documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm and regulatory guidelines.
- Liaise with clients to gather financial data, clarify discrepancies, and provide professional recommendations.
- Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements within client organizations.
- Collaborate with senior auditors and managers to deliver high-quality audit reports and presentations.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and advisory projects as required by clients or management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in audit, accounting, or a similar role (fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in audit software (e.g., CaseWare, IDEA) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is advantageous.
