Responsibility
- Assist in daily bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Support internal control procedures and assist with audit preparations by organizing financial documentation.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor payments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with GAAP and organizational policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or partial qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with nonprofit accounting and donor reporting is advantageous.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
