Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive freight and logistics revenue growth in assigned accounts and territories.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new B2B clients through cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations to ensure retention and repeat business.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements that align with company goals and client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customer service, and marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management on a regular basis.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of logistics solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the logistics, shipping, or freight industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, supply chain management, or maritime logistics is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and sales analytics tools.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or industry events.
