Responsibility
- Coordinate and supervise daily yard operations, including vehicle movements, loading/unloading, and storage of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all shipments are documented, tracked, and dispatched on schedule.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to optimize workflow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor yard capacity and organize space utilization to maximize efficiency and prevent congestion.
- Prepare and submit reports on yard activities, including productivity metrics, delays, and incident logs.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational speed and accuracy.
- Train and mentor new team members on yard procedures, equipment use, and safety best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in yard coordination, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and foster a collaborative work culture.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in material handling and storage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic data entry tools.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina to perform duties in an outdoor setting, including standing, walking, and lifting as required.
