Responsibility
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety and health (WSH) laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and review safety management systems and procedures.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in workplace safety, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols.
- Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
