Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Monitor system performance, including flow rates, chemical dosing, and equipment functionality, to maintain optimal treatment efficiency.
- Lead a team of technicians in conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations (e.g., WHO, EPA, or Indonesian standards).
- Develop and implement operational procedures, SOPs, and training programs for staff to enhance productivity and safety.
- Manage inventory of chemicals, spare parts, and equipment, coordinating procurement as needed.
- Prepare and submit reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors on system upgrades, expansions, or new installations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., WEF, AWWA, or local Indonesian licenses) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of treatment processes (e.g., activated sludge, MBBR, RO, UV disinfection) and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in using SCADA systems, PLCs, and laboratory testing equipment for water quality analysis.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Willingness to work in a 5.5-day work week schedule and respond to on-call emergencies as needed.
