Responsibility
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and chemical dosing systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of WWTP machinery and infrastructure.
- Collect and analyze water samples to assess treatment effectiveness and adjust processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of operational data, including flow rates, chemical usage, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members to address operational challenges and implement process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards at all times.
- Assist in the training of new operators and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in wastewater treatment is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or a related field.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment methods.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance on treatment equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
