Responsibility
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with local and international hazardous material regulations (e.g., GHS, IMDG, IATA).
- Develop and implement safety protocols, emergency response plans, and risk mitigation strategies for chemical storage.
- Manage inventory control systems, including tracking, labeling, and documentation of hazardous materials.
- Coordinate import/export logistics, liaising with customs, shipping agencies, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on inventory levels, incidents, and operational performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with at least 2 years handling hazardous chemicals.
- In-depth knowledge of hazardous material regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ADR, IMDG Code).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
