Responsibility
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing stock to verify quantity, quality, and condition, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating databases, spreadsheets, or warehouse management systems (WMS) in real-time to reflect stock movements.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the warehouse supervisor, and assist in resolving issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to prepare and organize shipments, ensuring all items are correctly labeled, packaged, and documented for dispatch.
- Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout and storage solutions to improve efficiency, accessibility, and safety for all team members.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including proper handling of equipment, hazardous materials (if applicable), and adherence to workplace safety guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes, suggesting efficiency enhancements, and participating in team meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a similar role; prior experience as a Warehouse Checker or Inventory Clerk is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Basic proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, or other inventory tracking tools.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, move, and handle packages or materials weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs) as required.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting; certification in forklift operation or safety training is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management is desirable.
