As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for handling various tasks related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our door-to-door transport services, ensuring that our clients receive their orders accurately and on time. Responsibility
- Receive, check, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Store goods in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Move and transport goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and loading of goods for door-to-door transport.
- Perform regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and equipment operation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
