Responsibility
- Process and manage end-to-end US payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and clients, providing clear and professional resolutions.
- Reconcile payroll data, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and garnishments.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings (e.g., Form 941, W-2, W-3) and ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to validate employee data, such as new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Generate payroll reports and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on US payroll processing experience (required).
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paychex, Ceridian) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of US payroll tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and multi-state payroll requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting strict deadlines.
- Certifications such as FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
- Experience in a BPO or shared services environment is advantageous.
