Responsibility

  • Process and verify US payroll data accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies, including tax withholdings, deductions, and employee benefits, in a timely manner.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and escalations related to payroll, taxes, and compensation with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations and reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US payroll laws, including FLSA, FICA, and state-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end documents (e.g., W-2s, 1099s) accurately and on time.
  • Assist in audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in US payroll processing, including familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of US payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., FLSA, FICA, state taxes).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation) for payroll analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain payroll concepts clearly to employees and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues and implement effective solutions.
