Responsibility
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts for US-based clients.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and error-free transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns and other compliance-related documents.
- Generate financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, P&L statements) for management review.
- Assist with payroll processing and vendor payments.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues proactively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably for US clients.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and US financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial data analysis.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
