Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals in the Record to Report (R2R) process, ensuring timely and accurate financial close activities.
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Tax, and Treasury, to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, promoting best practices in financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial close processes.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in a hybrid or remote work environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Experience in the Banking & Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
