Responsibility
- Develop and optimize UE5 materials, shaders, and VFX to achieve high-quality visuals while maintaining performance.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and engineers to implement and refine game assets, lighting, and post-processing effects.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for pipelines, tools, and best practices in UE5.
- Troubleshoot and resolve rendering, performance, and compatibility issues across different platforms.
- Prototype and iterate on real-time cinematic sequences and interactive experiences using Blueprints and C++.
- Optimize 3D models, textures, and animations for real-time rendering without compromising quality.
- Stay updated with UE5 advancements (e.g., Nanite, Lumen, Niagara) and integrate new features into projects.
- Mentor junior artists and provide technical guidance to ensure consistency and efficiency in workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical Artist or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing UE5 projects.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprints, Material Editor, and Niagara VFX system.
- Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering pipelines (e.g., Maya, Blender, Substance Painter).
- Experience with shader development (HLSL/GLSL) and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce, Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Knowledge of lighting, post-processing, and real-time cinematics in UE5.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to debug and optimize complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
