Responsibility
- Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination.
- Adjust equipment settings and select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician requests and patient needs.
- Analyze and evaluate ultrasound images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission to radiologists.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including imaging results and procedural notes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic reporting.
- Adhere to strict infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Provide relief coverage across multiple departments or facilities as assigned, ensuring continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Ultrasound Technology, or a related field.
- Valid certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist (e.g., ARDMS, ARRT, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound imaging.
- Proficient in operating ultrasound machines and interpreting basic imaging results.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasound procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts, as needed for reliever roles.
