Responsibility
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and cardiac scans.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Interpret imaging results and provide preliminary findings to physicians for accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed patient records, including medical history, examination results, and follow-up recommendations.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Educate patients on ultrasound procedures, addressing concerns and ensuring comfort during examinations.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control protocols in all clinical settings.
- Stay updated with advancements in sonography techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Sonography, or a related medical imaging field from an accredited institution.
- Certification or registration as a Sonographer (e.g., ARDMS, RDMS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound imaging, with proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular sonography.
- Strong technical skills in operating ultrasound machines and interpreting diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic medical records (EMR).
