As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in our fleet of operational vehicles. Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests on operational trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, or structural issues.
- Repair or replace faulty vehicle parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles remain in optimal working condition and comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities using digital or paper-based systems.
- Collaborate with the fleet management team to prioritize repair tasks and minimize vehicle downtime.
- Test-drive vehicles post-repair to verify functionality and safety.
- Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance and repairs.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry standards during all repair and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role, with a minimum of 2 years in fleet maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy-duty vehicle components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment outputs.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive diagnostic software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferably for heavy vehicles).
- Physical stamina to lift heavy parts and work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling) for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of Indonesian traffic regulations and vehicle safety standards.
