Responsibility
- Assist the truck driver in loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
- Secure cargo with ropes, straps, or covers to prevent damage or loss during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck, including the cargo area and cab.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and lights, and report any issues to the driver or supervisor.
- Assist in navigating routes, especially in busy or challenging areas, to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and address any delays or issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients at delivery sites.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, such as a lorry helper, warehouse assistant, or general laborer.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to read and understand basic maps or GPS instructions for navigation assistance.
- Valid driver’s license (SIM A or SIM C) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
