Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end import/export logistics operations, including air and ocean freight, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian Customs regulations and international trade laws, minimizing delays and penalties.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize transportation routes, carrier selection, and load planning to reduce costs and enhance service reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (warehousing, procurement, customer service) to streamline workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, transit times, cost per shipment) and implement data-driven strategies for performance enhancement.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to secure competitive rates and service agreements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation/logistics management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in air and ocean freight operations, including documentation (BL, AWB, Customs declarations).
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian Customs procedures (e.g., PEB, PIB, BC 2.3/2.5) and international trade compliance.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP, TMS, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a plus.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
