Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to local and international regulations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring legal accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies to resolve compliance-related inquiries and issues.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and sanctions, and communicate relevant updates to the organization.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for customs, import/export licenses, and other regulatory filings.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on trade compliance best practices and legal requirements.
- Support the resolution of disputes or investigations related to trade compliance violations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, International Trade, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CITP, CCP) is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in trade compliance, legal contract management, or a similar role, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and contract law.
- Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian trade regulations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, compliance software, or trade management tools is a plus.
