Responsibility
- Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking traditional Thai dishes, including curries, stir-fries, soups, and salads.
- Chop, slice, and marinate ingredients according to authentic Thai recipes and kitchen standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Participate in daily kitchen setup, breakdown, and equipment maintenance.
- Stay updated on Thai culinary trends and techniques through training and self-education.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with exposure to Asian or Thai cuisine.
- Basic knowledge of Thai ingredients, herbs, and cooking methods (e.g., wok-frying, steaming, grilling).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in English (basic Thai language skills are a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
