Responsibility
- Prepare and submit technically accurate and commercially competitive tender proposals in response to client requests.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to develop cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications for bids.
- Analyze tender documents, including contract terms, technical requirements, and compliance standards, to ensure full alignment with proposals.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
- Develop and maintain a database of past tenders, lessons learned, and best practices to improve future submissions.
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for tender submissions.
- Present tender strategies and proposals to senior management for approval.
- Monitor and track the status of submitted tenders, including follow-ups and negotiations with clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tendering, estimating, or proposal development within the engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of tender processes, contract law, and commercial terms.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and tender management software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Experience in cost estimation, BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation, and technical writing.
- Familiarity with local and international tendering standards is a plus.
