Responsibility
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data centre infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and vendor teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performance data centre solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, mitigating risks and resolving bottlenecks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Oversee the deployment of servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies in compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, ISO 27001).
- Monitor and optimize data centre performance, capacity, and reliability, implementing proactive maintenance and disaster recovery strategies.
- Develop and enforce ITIL-based processes for incident, change, and problem management within the data centre environment.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., cloud hybrid solutions, edge computing, AI-driven infrastructure) and recommend innovations to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and ROI analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on data centre infrastructure, IT systems, or cloud services.
- Deep understanding of data centre architectures, including power, cooling, cabling, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking (Cisco, Juniper), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and data centre certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCMP).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
