Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end program management for Lightpath Fiber Asset Delivery, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation for global network deployments.
- Collaborate with network engineers, construction teams, and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of fiber optic infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs to track progress against business objectives.
- Identify and resolve technical and logistical bottlenecks in fiber deployment, working with cross-functional stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements in network build-outs without compromising quality or performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards for global infrastructure projects.
- Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Leverage data-driven insights to forecast capacity needs and align network expansion with Google’s long-term strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in technical program/project management, with a focus on network infrastructure, fiber optics, or telecommunications.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic network design, deployment, and maintenance, including DWDM, OTN, and subsea cable systems.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and global teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certification a plus).
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian) are a bonus.
