Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end program management for Googleâs Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives, ensuring alignment with global security policies and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Design, implement, and scale automated DLP solutions to detect, prevent, and respond to data exfiltration risks across Googleâs ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate DLP controls into cloud platforms, endpoints, and third-party systems, leveraging AI/ML for threat detection.
- Develop and enforce data classification frameworks to identify and protect sensitive information (PII, financial data, intellectual property).
- Drive incident response workflows for DLP violations, including root cause analysis, remediation, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Partner with legal, privacy, and security teams to ensure DLP programs comply with global regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Create and maintain program documentation, metrics, and dashboards to track performance, risks, and ROI for DLP initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of security awareness and best practices across Google.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, cybersecurity, or a related field, with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data protection, or compliance.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, global environment (experience at a tech company or enterprise is a plus).
- Strong understanding of DLP technologies, encryption, data classification, and zero-trust principles.
- Familiarity with cloud security (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and experience integrating security controls into cloud platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence engineering, legal, and executive teams.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Technical background in software engineering, IT security, or systems architecture (coding/scripting skills in Python, SQL, or Go are a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance security, usability, and business needs.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
