As the Technical/Mechanical Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure seamless data center performance, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement in mechanical and electrical systems. Responsibility
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in data centers, including HVAC, cooling, UPS, and power distribution.
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure 24/7 operational reliability and adherence to SLAs.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Monitor and optimize energy efficiency and PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) to reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO, TIA-942) for data center infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute upgrades, expansions, or new builds for data center facilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement of critical spare parts and equipment.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement disaster recovery plans to mitigate potential failures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data center operations, facility management, or critical infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven expertise in HVAC systems, cooling technologies (e.g., chilled water, DX), UPS, generators, and switchgear.
- Strong knowledge of data center standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Certifications, ASHRAE).
- Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools.
- Excellent project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, fire suppression systems, and environmental compliance.
- Willingness to work in Badung, Bali and travel as needed for site inspections or projects.
