Responsibility
- Develop and execute technical lighting plans for architectural and design projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and engineers to integrate lighting solutions that enhance aesthetic and functional outcomes.
- Oversee the selection, procurement, and installation of lighting fixtures, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct lighting simulations and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., Dialux, Relux) to optimize designs.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to deliver lighting solutions on schedule and within scope.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in lighting technology, including smart lighting, sustainability, and energy-efficient systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., IES, CIBSE) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical lighting design, with a portfolio showcasing completed projects in architecture or interior design.
- Proficiency in lighting design software (Dialux, Relux, AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM tools.
- Strong understanding of lighting standards, codes, and energy efficiency (e.g., LEED, WELL).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts to stakeholders.
- Experience with smart lighting systems (e.g., DALI, DMX, IoT) and sustainable lighting solutions is highly desirable.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail in both technical and aesthetic aspects.
