Responsibility
- Lead AI Product Development: Drive the end-to-end development of scalable generative AI products, from concept to deployment, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
- Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams, reviewing architectures, code, and system designs to ensure scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with AI researchers, data scientists, product managers, and UX designers to integrate cutting-edge AI models into user-facing applications.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and coach high-performing engineers and AI specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and excellence.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI initiatives, prioritizing features and innovations that deliver maximum impact.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in AI systems, optimizing for speed, accuracy, and resource efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, including executives and clients.
- Innovation & Research: Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to maintain Google’s leadership in applied AI.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role focused on AI/ML or generative AI.
- AI/ML Expertise: Deep understanding of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), large language models (LLMs), and scalable AI infrastructure.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong coding skills in Python, C++, or Java, with experience in distributed systems, cloud computing (GCP/AWS), and data pipelines.
- Product Mindset: Experience shipping AI-powered products at scale, with a focus on user needs, performance metrics, and business outcomes.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, with a track record of developing talent and driving technical excellence.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle ambiguous challenges in AI system design and implementation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate technical vision to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
