Responsibility
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Provide expert advice on PEZA incentives, exemptions, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement tax strategies that optimize benefits for clients.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and PEZA regulations, updating policies and procedures as needed.
- Conduct tax audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify potential risks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation for tax and PEZA-related matters.
- Liaise with government agencies, including the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and PEZA, to resolve tax-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on tax and PEZA compliance best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or similar certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance, with specific knowledge of PEZA regulations.
- Strong understanding of local and international tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with government agencies, such as BIR and PEZA, is highly desirable.
