Responsibility
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications for structural steel fabrication.
- Oversee the fabrication process to ensure compliance with industry standards (AISC, ISO, etc.) and project requirements.
- Collaborate with design teams to optimize steel structures for cost, durability, and constructability.
- Conduct quality control inspections and material testing to verify structural integrity.
- Develop and implement fabrication workflows, including cutting, welding, and assembly procedures.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality steel materials and manage inventory.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during fabrication and propose effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in all fabrication activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, preferably in construction or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Tekla Structures for design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, steel grades, and fabrication methodologies.
- Familiarity with AISC, ASTM, and local Indonesian construction standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-precision environments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
