Responsibility
- Oversee and manage off-site structural engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and structural assessments to verify compliance with design plans and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve technical challenges and optimize structural solutions.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, and reports to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Monitor material quality and construction processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential structural issues during off-site construction.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and on-site staff.
- Ensure all off-site activities align with local building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on off-site or modular construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, or SAP2000 and other structural design software.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices in structural engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex structural systems.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
- Experience working on international projects or in multicultural environments is advantageous.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Structural Engineering (PE/SE) is a plus.
