Responsibility
- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings, bridges, or other infrastructure in compliance with CSA (Canadian Standards Association) and local Indonesian regulations.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, SAP2000).
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design plans.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to integrate structural requirements into overall project designs.
- Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection to optimize structural performance and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential structural risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, sustainability, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, ETABS).
- Strong knowledge of CSA standards, international building codes, and Indonesian construction regulations.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration with international teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with seismic design principles and tropical climate considerations is advantageous.
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification or equivalent is preferred.
