Responsibility
- Design and analyze structural systems for concrete and steel buildings, ensuring compliance with local and international codes.
- Develop retrofitting solutions for existing structures to enhance safety and performance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate structural conditions and recommend improvements.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.
- Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection to optimize structural efficiency.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in structural engineering technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on concrete and steel structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and analysis.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with retrofitting and rehabilitation projects is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
