Responsibility
- Develop and execute commodity strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Analyze market trends and commodity risks to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to align sourcing strategies.
- Implement sustainable and ethical sourcing practices in compliance with global standards.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for commodity management.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve procurement efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in commodity management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for global supply chains.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
