Responsibility
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Wash, polish, and store all kitchen utensils, cookware, and glassware to ensure they are ready for use.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service periods.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with resort sustainability policies.
- Stock and organize kitchen supplies, including linens, cleaning agents, and disposable items.
- Support the F&B team by preparing and transporting ingredients, equipment, or supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and service staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a steward, kitchen helper, or similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals is a plus.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
