Responsibility
- Execute daily operational tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all food and beverage service areas, including dining rooms, kitchens, and storage spaces.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas, ensuring all tables, chairs, and service stations are prepared for guest use.
- Manage inventory of tableware, linens, and other service equipment, reporting any shortages or damages to the supervisor.
- Support the food and beverage team by transporting dishes, beverages, and supplies between the kitchen and dining areas efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards to provide a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on best practices and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a steward or similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service and hospitality.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
