Responsibility
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for steel structures using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla).
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret design concepts and convert them into accurate fabrication drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards (AISC, Eurocode, or local regulations) and project specifications.
- Review and verify structural calculations to confirm the feasibility and safety of designs.
- Prepare shop drawings, assembly drawings, and connection details for steel fabrication and erection.
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and adjust designs based on site conditions or client feedback.
- Maintain organized documentation of all revisions and updates to drawings for version control.
- Provide technical support to fabrication teams and construction crews to resolve on-site discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in steel structure drafting, preferably in architectural or construction firms.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or similar) and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Strong understanding of steel design principles, load calculations, and connection details.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and structural analysis reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial visualization skills to ensure accuracy in drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of local building codes and standards in Indonesia is a plus.
