Responsibility
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Android Trust systems, including authentication, encryption, and anti-abuse mechanisms.
- Collaborate with security researchers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate platform-level vulnerabilities.
- Develop and optimize scalable, low-latency security solutions for Androidâs global user base.
- Drive technical roadmaps for trust and safety features, balancing innovation with performance and usability.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of security-first development within the team.
- Conduct code reviews, security audits, and threat modeling to ensure robust protection against emerging risks.
- Partner with open-source communities and industry standards bodies to advance mobile security best practices.
- Monitor and analyze security metrics to proactively address threats and improve system resilience.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years specializing in Android security, trust systems, or platform integrity.
- Expertise in Java/Kotlin, C/C++, or Rust, with a deep understanding of Androidâs security model (e.g., SELinux, Keystore, Play Protect).
- Proven track record of designing and shipping large-scale, secure systems in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of cryptography, secure protocols, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth, TLS, hardware-backed security).
- Experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessment for mobile platforms.
- Familiarity with Googleâs security frameworks (e.g., SafetyNet, Google Play Services) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
