Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of high-performance silicon solutions, from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement silicon architectures that meet performance, power, and area targets.
- Drive the development of RTL designs, verification plans, and testbenches to ensure robust and reliable silicon solutions.
- Optimize silicon designs for performance, power efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Work closely with fabrication and testing teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into AMD's silicon design processes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership to resolve complex design challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in silicon design, with a focus on high-performance computing or graphics processors.
- Strong expertise in RTL design, verification, and synthesis using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Proven track record of leading silicon design projects from concept to production.
- Excellent understanding of semiconductor physics, digital design principles, and fabrication processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) and EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
