Responsibility
- Assist in endoscopic procedures, including preparation, intra-procedure support, and post-procedure care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and ensure safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring sterility and functionality.
- Educate patients and families about pre- and post-procedure care and expectations.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, with preference given to those with endoscopy or gastrointestinal nursing experience.
- Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures and patient care protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed.
