Expat. Roasters Indonesia is a premier coffee brand currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sr. Corporate Legal Officer to join our growing team in Bali. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary legal counsel, safeguarding our corporate interests and ensuring seamless operational compliance across all business divisions.
You will lead the end-to-end drafting, rigorous review, and high-level negotiation of complex commercial contracts and legal agreements. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp legal mind, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to navigate Indonesia’s evolving corporate regulatory landscape with precision and integrity.

Responsibility
- Lead the drafting, comprehensive review, and high-level negotiation of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, lease agreements, and partnership MOUs.
- Provide expert legal counsel on Indonesian corporate law, labor regulations, and intellectual property protection to support operational excellence.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with all local and national regulatory requirements, keeping the company ahead of legislative changes.
- Manage corporate secretarial duties, including the maintenance of statutory books and regulatory filings.
- Identify potential legal risks in business operations and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external legal counsel and government authorities when required.
- Advise management on legal implications of business expansions, investments, and organizational changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (SH) from an accredited university; Master’s degree (LL.M) or specialized certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate law, preferably within the F&B, hospitality, or retail sectors.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian commercial laws, contract law, and investment regulations.
- Proven track record in high-stakes contract negotiation and legal document drafting.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- High level of professional integrity, analytical problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
- Valid PERADI license or equivalent legal certification is required.
