Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize pipework and liquid cooling systems for high-performance applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and clients) to develop custom thermal management solutions tailored to specific use cases.
- Conduct thermal and hydraulic simulations using tools like ANSYS, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, or CFD software to validate system performance.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, schematics, and documentation for internal reviews and client deliverables.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of cooling systems, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to liquid cooling systems, providing root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in thermal management, materials, and fluid dynamics to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in designing pipework, liquid cooling systems, or HVAC for industrial/commercial applications.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools (ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and pressure drop calculations in closed-loop systems.
- Experience with material selection for piping (copper, stainless steel, PEX) and coolant compatibility (water, glycol, dielectric fluids).
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM) and regulatory requirements for mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- Strong communication and project management skills to liaise with stakeholders and clients effectively.
