Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive site evaluations to assess solar potential, shading analysis, and structural feasibility for residential and commercial projects.
- Design and optimize photovoltaic (PV) systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp) to maximize energy output and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and bill of materials (BOM) for solar installations, ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project managers, and installation crews, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform energy yield assessments and financial modeling to provide clients with accurate ROI projections and system performance estimates.
- Stay updated on emerging solar technologies, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve design methodologies.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post-installation phases, including troubleshooting and system performance validation.
- Develop and maintain client-facing documentation, including proposals, reports, and user manuals, to ensure clarity and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., NABCEP) are a plus.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in solar PV system design, with a proven track record of successful project completions.
- Proficiency in solar design software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and local regulations pertaining to solar installations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and clients.
- Experience with energy storage systems, hybrid solutions, or microgrid designs is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
