Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of SOC analysts, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and adherence to best practices.
- Oversee real-time monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- Develop, implement, and refine SOC policies, procedures, and playbooks to enhance operational efficiency and security posture.
- Manage incident escalation processes, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with SLAs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SOC operations with business objectives and IT strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and skill assessments for SOC team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies, automation, and threat intelligence integration.
- Prepare and present reports on SOC performance, incident trends, and security metrics to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a SOC/NOC environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK) and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Proven ability to manage security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or programming (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment with a focus on high availability and reliability.
