Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of L1/L2 SOC analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
- Design, implement, and optimize advanced threat detection and response strategies using SIEM, EDR, and other security tools.
- Oversee real-time monitoring of security alerts, ensuring rapid identification, analysis, and mitigation of cyber threats.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, SOPs, and escalation protocols for critical security events.
- Conduct forensic investigations, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to enhance security controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into IT operations and development lifecycle.
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively adapt security measures.
- Prepare and present executive-level reports on SOC performance, threat landscape, and risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a SOC leadership or senior analyst role.
- Hands-on expertise with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Elastic), EDR/XDR solutions, and threat intelligence tools.
- Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), and zero-trust architectures.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or OSCP are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead incident response efforts for complex cyber threats (e.g., APTs, ransomware, insider threats).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS) and security audits.
